Overview

If you want to sign up to Apple as an organization, there are a number of requirements and additional steps compared to an individual account. The most important one is the D-U-N-S number.

IF you have a sole proprietorship / single person businesse you should register as an individual user and do not need this.

D-U-N-S number: Nine-digit company identifier assigned by Dun & Bradstreet

To publish apps with Apple as an organization, you must have a D-U-N-S Number. It consists of a nine-digit identification code. To get a D-U-N-S number you have to request it from Dun & Bradstreet.

D-U-N-S numbers are generally offered at no cost.
