Groups

Overview

You can create user groups to manage application/content access. Admin can assign different role to different user groups. Even user can provide different access to different groups. Groups are also helpful to provide specific push notification.

List of Groups

When user selects groups, List of user group can be seen. Below functions are available in the list of user groups.

Sort

You can sort on below fields.

User Group Name [Alphanumeric]
App Name [Alphanumeric]
Created Date [Date]
Hidden [Hidden/Not Hidden]

Search

You can search for specific group by User Group Name.

Select [one or more]

You can select one or more User groups by checking checkbox.

Send push

When user click on Send push – link button, user will be navigating to Push notification screen. This push notification will be push to only the users of selected group.

Open

It will open User group to make changes to it.

Manage Groups

Once user group is created, you need to Open that group to add/Invite users to that group.

For managing User groups, we have 3 options:

Add user

This will add an existing application user to this group.

Invite user

Admin can invite new user to the app & this group.

Remove user

Admin can remove user from this group by clicking Remove user – link label in the user list.

Create new

You can create new group, initiate by clicking “Create New” – button.

It has below fields:

System Name

Unique identifier of the group. It should have only Small letters, numbers, underscore and without space

Name

Name of Group.

App (Optional)

App where this group will be created. By default, current application is selected.

Add Group

Add Group – button click will create group in the system and display in List for further modification.

Toggle Hidden

Admin user can make user groups Visible/Hidden. User need to select the user group by checking the checkbox for particular row and press Toggle Hidden – button.

If selected group is hidden, button click will make it Not Hidden

Else it will make it Hidden.
